New Kameleoon version
A New Kameleoon Version is Online.
Paris, France, 20 July 2010 - Shoopz announces the immediate availability of the new version of its Kameleoon software: new features have been added as well as tutorials for helping out novices users.
The Kameleoon GUI evolved a bit, but has mostly been complemented with an interactive tutorial, a color palette, a database of images and an exclusive feature of Kameleoon,
automatic creation of a undecorated (empty) design. These first 3 features allow Kameleoon to provide an user experience close to what is typically expected by users. The latter feature is quite powerful and automatically creates a design that has been "cleaned" of any decorations, allowing the user to start from scratch.
Jean-Noel Rivasseau Shoopz CEO, explains: "Our goal is not to substitute a webdesign tool by another, so features are not very important per se, however, a high standard of comfort is achieved with this new version of Kameleoon . The strength of our product lies in its easy use which has no equivalent in terms of automation and speed of deployment."
Kim Loeber, Commercial Director, adds: "The current processes for web design creation are unsuitable for heavy use and heavy customization. If a business needs to test designs in order to increase site performance, and trigger more sales, it must develop several variations and put them into production, with all the associated risks. This often turns into a nightmare, making A / B testing inaccessible to SMEs who are the ones who need it the most. By modernizing the processes of creation and integration of designs, Kameleoon opens the door to new uses in terms of business intelligence analysis for websites. "
Shoopz pursues its development by providing technology partnerships with complementary solutions where web design is not the specialty. Potentially any solution conform to W3C standards,
open-source or not, can integrate the Kameleoon technology. Shoopz also provides technical expertise in design automation, platform A / B testing etc ...

Kameleoon official site has a new look
Shoopz Releases a New Version of Its Kameleoon Website www.kameleoon.com
Paris, France, 17 May 2010 - Shoopz has completely redesigned its website www.kameleoon.com. After a little over a year of faithful service, the old website was no longer entirely appropriate. With a refreshed and modernized design, the new site sports direct access to demonstrations, a better and clearer navigation, and additional means of contact and interactions like Twitter and Facebook pages. The back-office is also simpler to use. On the tool side, a new Kameleoon version has been released at the same time with a much improved GUI. The new version is clearly more efficient.
Jean-Noel Rivasseau, CEO of Shoopz, talks about the last two months: "We were aware of the shortcomings of our site, and we decided it was time for a redesign. We've been working on the product itself a lot, and the promoting site had not received a lot of attention in a long time." One of the most important goals of the new presentation site is to focus more on user feedback. For instance an UserVoice forum has been setup to allow users to share comments and suggestions with the development team. Kim Loeber, commercial director, commented: "The evil of Web 2.0 is that very often developers try to think a lot about their users, but do not test their products as the users do. It results in software difficult to use, whose underlying good ideas and remarkable technologies are thus undermined. By being more responsive to our users and sending them a clear message - we will listen to user feedback - we want to avoid this trap."
Shoopz continues its development by providing strategic technology partnerships with complementary solutions whose specialty is not web design. Any solution complying with W3C standards, wether developed on open-source code or not, can integrate Kameleoon to allow their users to customize their pages. This is the real strength of this technology. E-shops, blogs, web sites, and other turn-key platforms have much to gain by integrating this solution which removes the usual limitations of templates.

Launch of Web Design for All (wd4all.com), a Website Dedicated to Web Design and Community Building
Shoopz proposes a new website filled with news, online tutorials and other resources about web design, mainly targeted at novice and mainstream users.
Paris, France, 13 April 2010 – Shoopz announces the immediate launch of a new information website dedicated to web design: www.wd4all.com or Webdesign for All. This will complement the website of their official product, www.kameleoon.com.
Webdesign for All focuses about website and community building in general, and web design in particular. Its purpose is not to replace the current website of the company, but to provide additional articles with a broader scope. The editorial line will be as neutral as possible, with a diverse content: recent trends analyses, software reviews and tutorials, web design news or in depth discussions on Internet technologies and standards. Competing solutions to Kameleoon will have their place on wd4all.com and will be featured as the site's content keeps growing.
Webdesign for All is born as a result of the lack of clear information about this topic on the Web. There are a lot of sources available but it is often mandatory to consult several of them to have a correct overview on a given subject, and the information is usually not presented in a way suitable for the mainstream public. Jean-Noël Rivasseau, CEO of Shoopz, comments: "Usually the web design aspect is omitted from community building guides, resource sites or even vendor's solutions - although it is essential for large online platforms to offer more to their users than a dozen templates." Kim Loeber, commercial manager, adds: "To sell online services, it is almost always mandatory to propose design solutions packaged and integrated. Template based solutions have a lots of disadvantages and many web users prefer custom web design or software tools, both offline and online. To allow users to find the best solution for their needs, we concluded it was necessary to educate and inform them a lot more."
The target audience for Webdesign for all is quite large since we aim to provide useful information to any person interested in webdesign, whatever the reason. The main challenge will thus be to provide a set of information consistent with the technical level of visitors. Shoopz invites specialized writers and journalists to contribute articles about their favorite subjects. A section of the site dedicated to partnerships will host links to various actors in the web design world, ranging from small web agencies to large software publishers.
The Shoopz team hopes to make a relevant contribution to the general understanding of web design and of its importance in the Web 2.0 universe, and looks forward to a large and creative audience.

Kameleoon, a Revolutionary Online Web Design Tool, is Officially Launched
With this powerful software, a French startup hopes to bring theme and style design to mainstream Web users, as blogging platforms did for online articles.
Paris, France, 31 March 2010 - Kameleoon, a Revolutionary Online Web Design Tool, is Officially Launched
This web application can be installed into any existing website, instantly adding professional design capabilities. It comes in the form of a tool panel that is visible, in edition mode, directly on the site's pages. From selecting an element to changing its decorations, the whole process is entirely WYSIWYG. Jean-Noël Rivasseau, founder and CEO of Shoopz, pitches the product: "With Kameleoon, authoring a beautiful design for your site becomes as easy as posting a new article on your blog. We introduced a new methodology that we call e-webdesign: the ability to change the visual look of your website online. We think people will like our product because they are used to browser interfaces. They will see the results of their changes immediately on their pages, without having to worry about complex web technologies or deployment issues."
The software has been in development for more than 18 months. The underlying technology, which was patented by Shoopz in 2009, allows Kameleoon to integrate with any standard website. "This official release is obviously a very important milestone for us. A lot of effort went into making sure Kameleoon would work well with the majority of sites out there, even though the technical challenges were extremely high", adds Jean-Noël Rivasseau. "We're eager to see the initial reaction of the public, and of course, our R&D team is already hard at work improving our product."
The company now plans to launch an Internet marketing campaign to inform potential users, notably bloggers, of their service. Kameleoon is available in a free version for non-commercial websites, while paying customers will mostly be big Web service providers. Kim Loeber, business manager, explains: "Our technology allows companies to offer theme customization to all their users, without resorting to premade templates. It opens up entirely new opportunities for online platforms that host content as diverse as blogs, e-commerce stores, resumes or even dating profiles".
Kameleoon is distributed as a Software as a Service (SaaS), which makes it part of the new wave of innovative web services launched over recent years by industry leaders such as Google
or Amazon.
