Manage experiments efficiently with Kameleoon's time saving features

Manage experiments efficiently with Kameleoon's time saving features

When you're in the middle of a critical experimentation campaign, it can seem impossible to multitask or take time off. Still, even experimenters need to take breaks and holidays. Plus, we know that managing experimentation campaigns is only part of an optimizer's job.

To free up time and resources, Kameleoon offers three convenient features that make managing experiments less hands-on.

Our alerting, scheduling and dynamic traffic allocation (a.k.a. Multi-armed bandit) tools allow experimenters to take time away from their projects while being fully in control.

Scheduling

Scheduling

The scheduling feature allows you to configure your experiment ahead of its launch date and determine the exact date and time you want it to go live. You also have the option to set the schedule according to the visitor's time zone.

Even better, you can set when you want the experiment to stop, so you don't have to log into the platform to conclude it.

With Kameleoon's advanced scheduling, you can go beyond date-based stops and end the experiment when test results are significant and exploitable or when your website traffic reaches a specific threshold (in terms of visitors or visits.)

You can also set different schedules, like pushing an experiment live on Monday, stopping it on Friday, restarting it the following Monday, etc.

Alert Creation

Alerting

Kameleoon allows you to configure custom alerts to stay in the loop without logging into the platform.

Alerting is very flexible and can be especially powerful when leveraged with custom goals: You can set up alerts for the conversion or improvement rates for any of your custom goals.

When you set up an alert, you must define a threshold that would trigger the alert. You will be notified as soon as the value reaches the threshold you set, then it's up to you what follow-up action you want to take.

When you plan to be away from your experiment but still want to automate its behavior and get notified when it hits critical milestones, we recommend using scheduling and alerting together. Define an end date for your experiment based on a result in the scheduler and configure an alert on the same goal to learn that you reached your threshold and your experiment stops.

Dynamic Traffic Allocation

Dynamic Traffic Allocation

Dynamic traffic allocation allows you to optimize your A/B tests by distributing the traffic on your website to the most efficient variation while the test is running.

This feature lets you exploit your results while continuing to carry out tests, allowing you to optimize your customer experiences faster and without having to check in on or review the results of your experiment.

It's a "set it and forget it" feature when you have less time to manage and attend to your experiments. It's also beneficial when you need to optimize for conversions quickly, for example, during a holiday campaign.

Conclusion: Manage (don't micromanage) your experiments

With Kameleoon's time-saving features, experimenters can save time knowing that routine yet crucial tasks like scheduling and monitoring are built-in with advanced, automated tools that make managing experiments more efficient.
